Add an item
When you'd use this: to list something you sell so you can add it to bills.
Steps

Open Items and tap Add item.

Name and category.
- Item name — as you want it on the bill, e.g. 1000 Wala or Cotton Shirt.
- Category (optional) — a group like Sparklers, Mens wear or Earrings. Categories become quick filters on the New Sale screen.

Prices. Enter MRP, Selling price, or both, and an optional Discount %. The box underneath shows exactly what the customer pays — see Prices, MRP and discounts.

Cost price (optional) — what you pay for one unit. Galla Peti uses it only to show your profit in reports. Customers never see it.

Sold per — pick the unit: pcs, box, kg, set, pair…

GST — pick the rate (0, 3, 5, 12, 18, 28 or 40%), choose whether the price includes GST, and add the HSN code if you print tax invoices.

Barcode and stock (optional)
- Barcode — type it or tap the scan icon.
- Track stock — turn on and enter how many you have; it goes down with every bill.

Tap Save — or Save & add next to keep the category, unit and GST for the next item.
Tips
- Show in favourites puts an item first on the New Sale screen. You can also tap the ☆ star in the Items list.
- Adding many items? Use Excel import.
