Set up your shop

When you'd use this: the first time you open Galla Peti. It takes about two minutes, and you can change everything later.

Steps​

  1. On the welcome screen, tap Get Started.

  2. Choose what you sell: Kirana / Grocery, Crackers, Clothing & Fashion, Fashion Jewellery or Other shop. Galla Peti sets units, GST and billing style to match — for example boxes and discounts off MRP for crackers, or kg for loose grocery items. Tap Continue.

  3. Enter your shop details. Only the shop name is required.

    • Logo — tap the image box to pick your logo. It prints at the top of every bill.
    • Mobile number and address — printed on bills.
    • GSTIN (optional) — if you're GST registered. Galla Peti checks it for typos and fills in your state.
    • UPI ID (optional) — customers can scan a QR with the amount already filled in.

  4. Keep Add sample items on if you want a few example items to try a bill right away. You can edit or delete them later.

  5. Tap Start billing. You land on the Home screen.

Tips​

  • Moving from another phone? Tap Restore from backup on the welcome screen instead — see Backup & restore.
  • Change anything later in Settings → Shop details — see Shop details.
